Notes for a new week.
1. Book Review (and giveaway!): The New NIV Quest Study Bible
My mother's sunlit kitchen and dining room always held assorted books when we were growing up. Recipe books. Journals. Bibles. I used to hold mom's Bible near my nose to inhale the aroma of holy words bound up in old leather.... [ Read more ]
2. Latest Projects: This past week I played with a few new signs. They are 1) Hunters Gather Here, 2) Spoiled Dog (the pup in the design looks suspiciously like our dog, Ace), and 3) "Lake" sign. All three are now available over in The Shop.
3. Have you heard of Einkorn flour? Einkorn flour is helpful for those with gluten sensitivities or intolerances and not intended for those with celiac disease (source: EveryDayDishes.com). EveryDayDishes.com has a yummy Einkorn Pumpkin Bread with Maple Glaze Recipe that sounds perfect for Fall breakfasts. [ Recipe here ]
4. Card Class on Saturday, October 12, 2019, 1:30 PM!
Verna Mullen creates award winning hand crafted cards that are my very favorite greeting cards. I've invited Verna to teach a class here in Binghamton on 10/12/19! Ladies are invited to join us - it will be easy and breezy and fun! Cost is $20 for six cards, or, the six cards are free with a $25 product order. Verna will do all the prep work. Space is limited so early RSVP's are requested. [ Reserve your place now online ] [ Questions? Email info [@] thesavvyrose.com
We will be making cards similar to these from these stamp sets:
4. Faith Focus:
"How much happier we’ll be if we rejoice for what God is doing every day and every hour of our lives. Why wait many years—or until we’re with the Lord—to look back and say, “God, I finally see that you were at work even in those hard times; I wish I would have trusted you then”? “Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8). - Randy Alcorn
6. Calm for your week:
Hibiscus in bloom on an Autumn evening. May your week be filled with beautiful surprises in these last few days of September!
Have a GREAT week! Grow. Bloom. Repeat.
The Savvy Rose is a lifestyle blog cultivating faith based encouragement, contemplating culture, pursuing wellness, and sharing products we love.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18
